Thursday June 20, 2024

Please join us Thursday, June 20th for what Chris is calling "Rib Fest" cooking class. This is sure to be a fun and exciting class. The class will start out grilling watermelon and pineapples over direct flame using the Grill Grates on the PK Grills and Breeo smokeless fire pits. We will then turn to ribs for the evening.  The class will cover everything you want to know about smoking ribs.  We will go over the different types of ribs, rib selection, prepping, smoke flavors, seasonings, temperatures and much more.  There are many ways to smoke great eating ribs so we will be doing ribs hot and fast, low n slow, wrapped ribs, unwrapped ribs, sauced and no sauce. You will get to try all of them.  Have you ever made beef plate ribs?  Learn how to smoke this majestic rib. The smokers used for this class will be Smokin' Brothers, Myron Mixon Barq and Camp Chef pellet grills, Primo Ceramic grills and Gateway Drum smokers.  This will be a great class if you are looking to try smoking pork and beef ribs or want some tips on getting them just right every time.

As usual, Pennwood will provide the refreshments.
